Visiting Crossroads Baptist

Visiting any church for the very first time can be a tough experience. Where to go? What to wear? What time to show up? What's here for my kids? What can I expect? These and many more questions surface. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Crossroads Baptist will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and "at home"! Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.

1. Finding Nurseries, Classes, and Services

We would like to help you find the appropriate nurseries, classes, and services for every person in your family. Our greeters and ushers are located at each entrance of our building and will gladly help direct and even escort you to the right place.

2. What's here for my kids?

Starting with an excellent nursery, there is something special for every child from birth through highschool! At every service there is a safe, clean, and staffed nursery for children three years old and under. For children four years old through fifth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. For students sixth grade through highschool there is a combined class that meets with our Youth Pastor.  Most of the teens attend a class for 45 minutes and then a worship service another hour with their parents.

Children four years old through 5th grade come into the first half of the Worship service.  Then during the greeting part of the service, these children are dismissed to their very own exciting service designed to meet their paticular needs.

On Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 we have Flyers Bible Club and King's Kids Bible Club .  Each club meeting includes an age appropriate Bible lesson time, Bible memory time, game time, and snack time.  The Flyers club is for children of preschool age.  The King's Kids club is for children in Kindergarten through 5th grades.  On Thursday evenings from 6:30- 8:00 the teens meet for TRAC club. The TRAC (Teens Redeemed and Called) club is for teens in the 6th through 12th grades.  The TRAC meeting includes a challenging Bible lesson, good refreshments, and a fun game.

3. What's on the schedule for adults, and what should I expect?

Adults attend one of three adult Bible classes.  The first class is the Career/Home Builder's Class which is taught by our Pastor, Aaron Smith.  This class is for married adults and focuses on the daily needs of the Christian home and working adult.  The second class offered is the Adult Bible class which meets in the main auditorium.  This class is mostly for older adults who have reached retirement age or no longer have children at home. The third Bible class is the Lydia Ladies' Class which is mostly for our older ladies who are widowed or attend church without their husbands.  The best way to get to know people at Crossroads Baptist Church is to visit one of these adult bible classes.

Our worship service begins at 1o:30 am, where adults will enjoy the beautiful and inspiring music of the choir, groups, and soloists. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Smith. This service is a little over one hour in length.

4. How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Crossroads Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday dress"; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Crossroads Baptist Church.

 5. Are there any other service times?

Yes we do! We have a Sunday evening service (completely different from Sunday morning) that begins at 6:30 p.m.  In this service you'll enjoy our testimony time, joyful Christ honoring music, and  another challenging and helpful message from Pastor Smith. We also meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. for a mid-week Bible study. If you can't be our guest on Sunday morning, we hope you'll visit with us during another service time.

6. Am I expected to participate in the offering?

No. We don't invite you to Crossroads Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

If there's something we missed on this list, just give us a call, or ask someone when you arrive. Whether you're new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it's been a long time since you've attended church at all, we hope your first visit at Crossroads Baptist will be awesome! We exist to serve you and your family, and we are looking forward to meeting you personally. We hope you'll feel right at home from the very first moment you step through the doors of our church! Let us know how we can serve you better, and we hope to meet you this Sunday!
